How do you summarize 30 years of professional experience into a catchy understandable paragraph? Maybe tell people what I specialize in?

Sorry, can’t. I don’t specialize. I’m a generalist. 

I’ve done so many things in so many areas that you can’t just slap a label on it.

Here are some of the things I’ve done over the years:

• Software development (mainly client-side/frontend related)
• Teaching & mentoring
• Game design
• Journalism & blogging
• Public speaking
• Localization & translation
• QA

At the time of this writing I serve as an CSS/HTML architect at one of the country’s largest banks.

When people say they’re “looking for new challenges”, they normally mean they’re looking for a new job. I say this on a regular basis regardless if at the same place or a new one. I am literally looking for a new challenge all the time by definition.

The different things I’ve done over the years are the foundation for creative problem solving. 

Here’s what I consider to be my strength: I care for the stakeholders. I’m looking to understand their needs, not dictate them with my dogma. There is no dogma. There is a bespoke solution for each individual customer. 

And I don’t stop there. I also care for my customer’s customers. I will be asking and providing angles about their needs, too. This coupling creates the best solutions.

I come from the technical side, but my aim is to bridge the gap from the often insular nerdy side and the customers, because I understand them both. I am and have been on both sides simultaneously.
